Robert works closely with the Board of Directors to oversee and supervise the day-to-day operation of the program. He frequently provides information and assistance in addition to managing record keeping activities for every grant received. Robert is also responsible for conducting outreach, attending meetings regarding aging issues, and advocating for his clients and workers.

and Fitness Instructor

Nicole assists with a variety of clerical jobs in numerous programs. Services include managing data, designing class materials, and communicating with clients. She also leads exercise classes, including Tai chi, at various senior sites in the Tri-Valley.

lorie_rLorie Rohloff, Friendly Visitor Coordinator

Lorie coordinates in-home reassurance services by recruiting volunteers from the community and matching such volunteers with a senior. These volunteers offer opportunities for older adults to: socialize, receive home visits, engage in telephone conversations, shop and complete errands, share personal interests and hobbies, obtain transportation, participate in letter writing and reading.

Lorie also coordinates large group projects with her volunteers. Additionally, luncheons are held three times a year for enjoyable socialization.

Lori maintains and provides a registry of home care providers who can assist older adults with personal care, household duties, laundry, shopping, transportation and meal preparation. First, home visits are made to assess the senior’s needs. Consequently, care providers are referred to the senior.

Michele Moore is a licensed therapist who brings broad experience in community mental health, individual and family counseling as well as a comprehensive understanding and capability of working with older adults.  She earned her BA in Psychology at University of California, at Berkeley and prior to pursuing her MA degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Saint Mary’s College of California, she worked in the field of geriatric mental health, and was a volunteer in out Friendly Visitors Program within Senior Support of the Tri-Valley.

Katie provides nutrition and group fitness instruction to prevent falls and improve the overall health of seniors. She is an experienced public health educator with expertise in nutrition and physical activity program development and evaluation. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Public Health from Iowa State University.  Katie is passionate about primary prevention and policy, systems and environmental change.

Cheryl provides nutrition education classes at senior sites in Dublin and Pleasanton. She also composes and delivers behavioral health education curriculum in Mandarin through the Finding Wellness Program.

Finding Wellness serves seniors throughout Central, East, and South Alameda County. These programs are funded through the Alameda County Department of PublicHealth and Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services.

Marjory Tilley, Medication Safety

Marjory provides education about the importance of medication compliance to ensure and enhance the quality of life and safety of older adults. The Medication Safety/MS Program provides the following benefits: a confidential, individualized medication review; education about the importance of medication compliance; a medication interaction report; assistive devices and safe disposal guidelines; and encouragement for drug disposal that helps to reduce harm from accidental exposure or unintentional misuse.
